I would be amused to see them drive with their hoods up!

Frankly, I have seen baldheaded old men driving around in the SLK with hood down;

I had my birthday yesterday and turned 45.

The problem is that I should drive a 545iA not a 525iA.

Maybe I have to wait for 5 years and buy me a 550iA.

first off, happy birthday
second, don't worry about what you SHOULD have, but enjoy what you got.
thirdly, if you can afford it, then why not? go for it! enjoy life at 45, right?

as for me, this is my first 5, so i enjoy my entry level 525i, since i don't know the difference anyway.

of course, judging from what i hear about the 545's, i know i am missing a lot.

but since i can't afford that yet, i'm happy with what i have. i know down the road i'll be moving up, but right know i'm content with the fact that at least i have an e60.

cheers!

A good looking E60 had nosed into me on a big parking lot yesterday. The first blush was great. As I looked in greater detail, turns out it was a 525, which got the same response from me as the 545. So, if a 545 driver gets juiced up looking at a 525, what would a non-545 driver see? Now there is probably a noticeable difference in feel, but the visuals are fine.

I think Ricracing was pointing out, if you are 25, you are driving a 525, he's 45, so he needs to drive a 545....?

Thank you all. 45 isn't that bad when life is shining

Right on the buttom "mbforme". I tried to be funny

There's nothing wrong with the 525iA, I love it.
Overhere our maximun speed limit is 120 km/h (75 mph) on our freeways and in the winter time 100 km/h ( 62 mph).

I just love my drivers license .

Ricracing, I just moved from a 745 to 545. Three years ago when I got the 7 I thought I was way too young for that car. But an informal poll at another forum showed guys as young as their 20's with 7's. Wow, how does a 20 year old afford that car?

Anyway, I think any BMW can make you feel young again. Certainly more than a Buick or a Camry.

...apparently the 5 is for old men with slippers and a pipe
In the UK anything that's larger than a matchbox and isn't blinged up is regarded as an old man's car.

Of course, historically in the UK, only "old men" were successful enough to be able to afford cars larger han a matchbox.

And if some non-europeans moved their local currency salaries over here then maybe only the "older men" would be able to afford the european e60 prices too!

i was driving an ML320 before.. i changed the rims to 20" gianelles 10 flush though just to be different and my dad put on black step bars on the sides. also i put in two 12" crossfire subs in the trunk. my uncle told me that "mercedes is for old people. you should have a bmw. bmw is for the young ones." the e60 was at first my moms car then she gave it to me so yeah.. she said she couldnt handle it i guess.

anyway.. a bimmer is a bimmer. live life to the fullest with whatever makes you happy.
