I have the sport seats in my 2005 545i and even with the lumbar all the way retracted, there is too much lumbar and it's becoming increasingly unconfortable. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything that can be done?

thanks...

They will break in. They are hard at first but then soften up.

I have comfprt seats and I agree with you. The only thing to do is to drive with backrest pretty vertical.

Mine also started out with what I thought was too much lumbar. I tthought at first they had pumped up the lumber already but when I treid changing I could only get more and never less then already there. I went more vertical as FJPM noted. Gradually I have been able to recline more as I do believe it is softening up. Or am I curving my spine It no longer bothers me now.

hope I can get used to it.... no point in complaining the to the dealer as I don't suppose there is anything they can do about it? no internal adjustments?

maybe they can rip out the lumbar and I can do a big burnout on it?

This has been a problem for me since day one also and it still is a problem some days more than others... It might be even worse because I sit a little slouched in the seat. Who knows...

Hehe... well its acctually not all that bad anymore since I found a good position a very long time ago but I still feel it after long drives. I never had a problem with the loaner cars I've had (non 5 series) so... who knows.
