Cheers for the nice comments guys!
Haha, we may have the same taste in angel eyes but different in grilles and shadowline. I had black grilles (with chrome surround) as standard, but like the silver/chrome/black look.
Any ideas on where we can get brighter angel eyes that one could use at DRLs?

I think the only way to get brighter AE is to change to LCI headlights, which could cost my arm and a leg
As you know all the aftermarket AE upgrade is in white only.....sadly

I'm keeping my E60 at least until I pay it off (or if I get a really great offer on it, which I'm not sure will ever happen
). But you know what, I am doing this out of choice. When I get to purchasing another car - most likely not a replacement for the E60, but a second car - I'll probably be looking at F10's competition because of the weight and the styling. IF I will be looking at that class of cars at all - kinda hard to compete with a Boxster or a Cayman when you have 4000+ pounds to move.
Unless of course the driving dynamics of the F10 will totally win me over when I finally get my hands on one. As of now though, it seems to me that the F10 went so far upmarket and the E90 is so well below the E60's market, that BMW could've made the F10 a totally new line and kept the E60 - 1. E60's design is still current IMO and 2. it is not in the same class with the F10.

Next purchase for me will be a replacement for the 997 Carrera S, which is two years newer than the E60, BUT it's like been there, done that (Though I'm really happy to have had the experience) Believe it or not, its replacement will almost certainly be a Boxster. Much more fun and on our roads both quieter (You wouldn't believe how noisy the 911 is on our coarse chip roads), better handling and rides better!! People who haven't owned these cars think I'm crazy!! Personally I don't see the point in the Cayman....

Hey, You know your car and photos were my inspiration right??
Thanks for posting your pics!!
I'd love the LCI headlights, in fact if my car were a bit newer ie 2005+ I would have done the LCI head and taillight retrofit, but apparently the BMW kit won't work on my 02'04 build car. And from what I've read, it's near impossible to get them to work on my car...
Your car still looks great with the chrome grills and shadowlines, keep the way it looks
