This whole thread is making me
Looking at Merv the Derv's picture and mine, the two cars do not look the same in color. My picture was also taken during an overcast day. Notice that there are no shadows in my picture. Reading Merv the Derv's signature he took delivery of his 535d in March 2005, which meant that he should have Titanium Gray II.
Merv, could you please check your paint code under the hood (bonnet)? Does it say 892 (Titanium Gray I) or A36 (Titanium Gray II)?

This thread freaked me out a little.
My car is an 04 plate registered in March 2004, but according to my vin it was built in Jan 2004.
It definately has a greenish hue in some lights
The dealer advertised it as Titanium Grey II - but having read this post I started to doubt it.
However I popped the bonnet and found - Titanium Grey II
So in conclusion - Titanium Grey II had to be introduced right at the start of 2004 and therefore there cannot be many e60's of the old colour in the world.
Also - I have a vague memory of both colours being on the BMW.co.uk configurator - anyone remember this?

Mine is one of the rare set of eyeballs that likes Titanium Gray I a little better than Titanium Gray II.

I must be color biased b/c I still do not see any hints of green on my Titanium Gray II. This weekend is the Socal Meet. I'm going to ask the other e60 folks if they see any green at all. And, I know that there will be quite a few Titanium Gray II cars there as well. Will be interesting...
