Ah there you go... with off brands, the tire compound might not have been developed and tested to stand up to heat and cold as well. Many times, you pay for what you get.
absolutely im off to the tire shop & might as well get a oil change while im at it.

time to research tires suggestions from forum

I disagree with this.

Nexen is actually a fairly reputable brand established more than 30 years ago.
I am actually on 3rd set of Nexen N3000 and I can tell you it's a great tire.
And I live by far worse weather conditions than OP live in.
My winter temp goes as low as low 20s and as high as 115+ during the summer.

I don't see how could a tire or in this case tires to be problems after 15k miles of trouble free miles.
Tires are usually defect from the beginning or within first 1000 miles.
There are always degradation gradually but not like this all of sudden.
And tire pressure won't give you that much dramatic difference like skidding across lane.

I smell a possible suspension failure/worn out. By the way OP is describing the situation, it has to be
other than tires.

I think it's the suspension mate. You should take it in to a dealer or indy shop to check it out.
Again, I'm just trying to say the way you describe it, it can't be tires alone.

I highly doubt that. It doesnt matter that nexen has been around 30+ years. I can name tons of companies that have been around longer and yet they still somehow produce sub par quality products.

I would guess it would be the tires since he likes to drive a bit aggressive. Thats where I would start after checking all the suspension parts.

Nexen is an OK street tire, nothing special and certainly not a huge performer if youve ever had high performance tires like Pzero Nero, S-03, Invo, PS2 Pzero Rosso

You should also check the alignment. By the looking at the picture, you have very excessive negative camber.

That indeed does not look like its in good shape.......that looks like one of the rear tyres which came off my old E46 with KW, the rear camber was way off on that car afterwards and made my tyres look just like that, the car was excessively low however which caused the geometry to go way out.
