Isn't Bridgestone PolePosition also a good set of tires? Not considering it?

 

Bridgestones only design for Ferrari right. Just kidding
In HK not many people buy Bridgestones
most buy Michellin

 

Hmm, some members here are using Bridgestone PP, but I'm not sure..

 

I've run them on my 545 for almost 20k they have been a GREAT tire !!!

 

The Bridgestone RE050A Pole Position is the current top rated tire in its class on TireRack. PS2 and Eagle F1 GS-D3 were tied last time I checked for 2nd.

 

I like to know then If Bridgestone are the top then why do most poeple get the PS2?
I don`t use any of these.

 

Michelin has better brand reputation. Bridgestone is a great tire though, biggest difference is wet traction and cost for Bridgestone vs cornering stability for PS2. I got PS2 and love them but both tires as well as the Goodyear eagles are great tires.

 

Anyone used the Dunlop sport maxx...... any balancing issues? that i heard...planning to roll on these on my new 167's this chrsitmas!

 

It's the current number 4 tire on TireRack after the Bridgestone, Goodyear and Michelin (max performance summer category).

 

The Goodyears (F1 GS-D3), Bridgestones and Michelin PS2's have all at various times been the top tire in this category on the TireRack survey. They are all great tires. What's most interesting is the number of reported user miles that make up the numbers. The Goodyears have far and away the largest number of reported miles (over 15,000,000) compared to the next best PS2. This number helps lends some weight to the rating (i.e. with a smaller sample set the tire rating is more susceptible to getting an unfairly low or unreasonably high rating, with the larger sample size the ratings should even out a little more over time).

Keep in mind that TireRack only report on products they sell (so most of the majors are covered, the usual suspects plus Continental, Pirelli etc) but some other excellent tires from the likes of Toyo and others will not appear because TireRack don't sell 'em)
