My Ride: 2008 BMW 550i Carbon Black
So I bought new wheels - there are 19x9" front (et20) and 19x10.5" rear (et27). i went with stock size tires for the 550i - 245/35 front and 275/30 rears, hankook ventus v12 evo.
the rears especially look stretched out (the fronts a bit as well), and i'm thinking about maybe going to larger size tires. what would you guys recommend? I am also looking for something that will not require fender rolling or cause rubbing issues.
so, 4 questions:
1) on the rears, will 285/30 or 295/30 be the best bet? i'd be looking at hankooks or the continental DW.
2) should the fronts stay the same, or move to 255/30? or 255/35?
3) will these tires on the wheels require fender rubbing, or how can i otherwise avoid rubbing? right now i have no issues at all with the installed tires and wheels
4) i'm not sure how inner fender rolling works, is this something i can do by myself or must i take it to a shop?
thanks!

1) 295 would be ideal for a 10.5" but 285 might be all that would fit
2) 255/35 front definetly
3) I am not 100% sure on this.
4) Take it to a shop, by you trying this you risk cracking the paint, not worth it IMO. Also I had the issue with 19x9.5 rims on my 330Ci Convert went with cutting the fenders over rolling, even with a professional the risk of paint cracking is still there.

Definitely go with 295 on the rear. I think a member here has 305 on the rear without problem. As for the front I think 255 might rub though a bit. There some DIY for fender fillings but it's better to leve it to the pro because it's not that expensive, well at least in the US.

thanks for the info! i'm going to go with 295s front and 255 rear, i'll see how fender rolling goes here in germany (they wanted to see my registration when i bought summer tires to make sure they were allowed or something).
