So isn't it more of a function of the car rather than the fault of dunlop.? I'd rather have increased handling over increased treadwear myself.

I agree, it sound like there are issues with the car/suspension itself, and as Casper has noted, other tire brands have problems too. It's the noise that I can't live with, not the low treadwear life.

Thanks all for the input. I'll try to get these replaced - maybe with some Bridgestones. Haven't heard anyone complain about those.

I'm having a noise problem again on my replacements as well.

Right now, it's just starting and seems to be caused by cupping on the inside of the front tires (exactly as the SB describes.) The last go-around, it went from a slight noise to a very loud one in no time at all so we'll see how things go.

As long as they replace them again, (car has a total of 15,000 miles, tires have about 5,000), I'm okay with getting new tires every 5,000 miles!

I believe the comments made above that it is the car's alignment specs and not the tires that is causing the problem. I put Bridgestone Pole S03 tires on the car right after I took delivery. I am having the same problem and BMWNA will do anything about it. They said I have "aftermarket tires" That is a bunch of bull and I hope they will change their attitude and replace (my) tires and change the (fix) the alignment specs to avoid this problem.
The tire noise is horrible. That should not happen on any car, especially one of this caliper.

BMWNA are you listening?

The car was quiet until approx. 8,000 miles (all highway driving). Now have 15,000 miles. It is quite aggrevating.
