Ok guys,
My car came originally with Run Flat, but the previous owner change both tires and rims, to what you see below. I was driving home today and my IDrive screen pop up and say that I had a Flat tire
, I got out and check but all my tires are fine, only thing I notice was the the driver side tire may need a little air but nothing serious. Can someone tell me what kind of situation I have here. Is my Tire monitoring working ok ?, is this something I should disable ?

Its working exactly the way it was suppose to. If any wheel is down by approx 7lbs or more compared to the other tires it will warn you.

Ohhh, I would expect it to say Tire low, not flat, it did not even say which tire was flat. Ok I will add some air to the low tire to see if the message goes away. Thank you

As I recall, this is an older E60 so likely had the FTM. Yes, even a tire as low as 5 lbs has set of my FTM in my old 545. And yes, the system only tells you that there is a flat. In the newer cars w/ TPMS, it will say tire low and tell you which tire...

My car has TPMS and does not tell me specifically which tire is low. It just shows the low tire pressure warning.

I think I have the older E60 , Production date was 11/03. So I have the FTM
I have got alerts once, and there was a screw affecting very slow leakage. I'm not sure but I think the I-drive message also told which tire was it.

You can also tell by the tire valves. If it is a rubber one - no special equipment, FTM thru iDrive. Check the pressure in all tires and you will see which is low. I just went through this....I had a screw in my run-flat, but all tires seemed ok; however, the pressure in one tire was zero. As mentioned above, afterwards make sure you reset the FTM in i-Drive.
