Tire Mileage?
Today I had to put new tires on the X5 3.0i that my wife drives and she got 49,850 miles on the OEM Michelins, which I though was pretty amazing.
So it got me wondering what I would get on the E60?
With both my M3 and M5 I averaged about 20,000 on the rears and about 25,000 on the fronts and thus would exptect the same or slightly better on the 545i/6
Obviouly the style of driving has a huge impact, but I would image that most of us are pretty normal drivers
Anyway, just interested......
Cheers,

Bokke, your wife's tire mileage is outstanding and yours isn't bad. My wife can find too many things to run over to ever wear out a set. She never has really worn down a set. I get tired of hearing her wondering out loud and replace them long before I would on my car.

Best I expect is 20K. On all prevoius cars with ultra high performance tires thats the best I ever got.I
Roads in the USA must be far better than here in Yorkshire!
Although I have to admit I've been enjoying the car's 271bhp performance, I've only just reached 13k miles from the OEM Michelins and it's time to change.
I shall be fitting Dunlop Sport M3 winter tyres until spring time, then switch to summer tyres again.

RFT - replaced at 15k. I drive <5% of the time with DSC off. Probably have spun tires (or slid them) <15 times. I had developed a leak and I would have kept them for a little while longer if that wasn't the issue.
