No such thing as "perfect tint". It's all up to local laws, preference, and ones ability to see at night. Legal in VA in 50% front 35% back.
With that being stated, I went 35% side-front, 35% side-rear with a 5% rear. A 5% rear makes the sides look darker as most of the sunlight comes in through through the front and rear windows. I chose the high-end ceramic film from LA Tint in Manassas. I have had 4 of my cars (over the years) done by them and all their work has been top-notch...although, of course, YMMV.
Give them a shot.

Matt Judy at TNT Tint. Works out of Gary Martin's Martin Motorsports shop in Alexandria (off Van Dorn and Pickett). Has done both my 5 series and a Volvo for me. Great work and reasonable...the guy is a flippin perfectionist. PM me if you want his number. I went 35% all around on all three cars and have only been stopped once in 10 years.
