I have 40% ceramic on four doors and rear glass. Wished it was darker for day, but works well at night and in dark unlit places / garages.
Doesn't the metallic film interfere with your BMW rear glass antennas (keyless remote, radio), TPMS, Telematics, etc?
PS: I know that each wheel housing has an antenna for the TPMS RDC, so maybe TPMS is not affected by metallic film.

Do it!
I do not want to get a ticket from the internet cops so I will not say what I have done to the front. I will say from experience that it was worth it. Especially here in texas.

My Ride: 2008 535i Space Gray
They tried cracking down on dark tint in Dallas in the early 90's. Some of the State Inspection stations even had handheld meters to test the tint. My car at the time failed for being 18%. I simply drove to another station and passed. The crackdown didn't last long. I haven't heard of anyone getting so much as a warning in many years.
My personal preference is 30% on front doors and 15% elsewhere. My 535i was purchased pre-owned and already tinted with 20% front and 5% elsewhere. I hate it. Can't see s**t at night out of the rear window. I don't like not being able to spot cop cars behind me.

LOL 30% front and 15% rear is the combo I have on my car here in SoCal. Of course, legally zero tint is allowed here on the front windows.

Noper! Not in the good old El Paso. The legal limit is 35% and the front has to stay bright and shiny!

My Ride: Blah blahblah blahblah meh.
Here in Hawaii our tint laws are fairly strict no more than 35% sides and back and it used to be no tint in the front. Just recently the law has been ammended to allow for clear tints on the front windsheild. Why clear tints? Because now there is a ceramic tint called AIR Blue that is advertised as a heat blocking tint. If your just going for a cooler looking ride then this tint may not be for you but if you want your ride feeling cooler then you should look up your local tint laws and see if you can install this tint.
