I currently have 15% semi-metallic tint in the rear, with 35% ceramic on all 4 doors. I am, however, not too pleased with how clearly you can see through the windows during the day. I have an appointment for the 30th to get all 4 doors tinted at 20% with 50% on the front window but I'm weary and want some 3rd party feedback. Please refer to the image below. I'm fairly certain that at dusk my car will appear like the 1st photo with 20% tint, with the 2nd photo being what it is currently with 35% ceramic. I have to say, I think it'll look at lot more sleek and add emphasis to the wheels.

Thoughts?

IMO, don't do the darker tint in the rear and lighter on the sides, and ESPECIALLY don't do lighter on the front doors, darker on the back doors and rear windshield. i think both combos look really stupid on sedans (sorry guys!). sport's cars can get away with the rear window having a dark tint, because usually sport's cars have 2 doors and really huge rear windshields to make up for the body that sedans normally have, so you want it to look dark. just doesn't equate the same with sedans--all windows look the same.

20% all around is the way to go. it looks excellent, keeps heat out by a marginal amount, and you can sing backstreet boys on the highway all day long and no one will see you.

Very nice pictures. I'd vote for light tint all-round which for sedan I prefer. (I have very dark tint all-round on touring)

20% all around on my jet black and loving it, especially with my beige interior. The rear shades do help when my daughter is back there.

Humm, of the two, I like the top better.

Though I have to say, I have 35% on mine, and it looks considerably darker than your second picture?!

You know what, you're right. Come to think of it... its actually 38% ceramic tint. The brand is Dark Matter. No wonder its so damn light.

I'm a proponent of uniformity when it comes to tinting. I have 25% throughout mine and want to take it down to 20% in the very near future. When it's even throughout, nothing looks better.

I have 40% ceramic on four doors and rear glass. Wished it was darker for day, but works well at night and in dark unlit places / garages.

Doesn't the metallic film interfere with your BMW rear glass antennas (keyless remote, radio), TPMS, Telematics, etc?

PS: I know that each wheel housing has an antenna for the TPMS RDC, so maybe TPMS is not affected by metallic film.
