Time sensitive: iPod/USB Playlist "Problem" and Progman upgr
I tried searching to no avail. I seem to recall someone posted that the latest Progman update fixes the "problem" where, upon turning on the car, the Bordmonitor displays one track (and NOT the playlist that was onscreen before turning the car off).
If someone recalls this and can point me to a fix, that would be great. My car is at the VDC and they will upgrade Progman if I can provide more details.
Danke in advance of a reply.

Unfortunately, the above post(s) did not cover the problem where the single track appears on the bordmonitor.

Can't you just use the fixed issue in the second link to get them to do an update or does your car already have that fix?

Sorry about that -- was in a bit of a hurry and screwed up the links. They're fixed now, although I don't think they address the issue you're speaking of.

The VDC has double checked and said I am on the latest I-level of 27.2 which is the same as the latest Progman version.
I just seem to remember someone pointing out this problem but I can deal...
I just bought the dual usb/aux cable today for the ipod and have the same problem. Very very annoying...am close to giving up and just reverting to 8GB USB stick... is there a fix to this 'single track only display' problem?

What model iPod do you have? I've noticed some variation in functionality between iPod generations. Admittedly, most of this experience has been with my DICE unit in my X3, but they appear to have some idiosyncrasies.
You may want to try the following.
1. Rebooting the iPod. This works well when my DICE gets scrambled. (I can't remember exactly how to do this, but it something like holding down forward and reverse at the same time for 10 seconds. A quick google search should get the correct answer.)
2. Updating your iPod to the latest software version.
3. While more extreme, reformat the iPod completely and reload your music. I used to have a problem where my iPods would get file corruption after 9-12 months, particularly if it was windows formatted. (Switching to mac format seems to have solved this, but there probably is no correlation) I somehow doubt this last step will help, but you never know.

Jonathon,
I have the same problem, but do not recall reading about a fix. Someone at the dealership actually suggested that my iPod software was too new (not too old), which caused the problem. If that is the case, then updating the iPod software will not fix it - would need a Progman update as you suggest.
