Just to cap off a shitty day evacuating from New Orleans, I get to Houston and just as I'm arriving, I get a warning message to tighten my gas cap. Even after stopping, removing and retightening the cap I'm still getting the message. Any suggestions?

Sorry about the "cap" pun, really not intentional...

I have been told by my SA that if this occurs the car will "reset" itself after 50 to 60 miles of driving. Alternately, you can stop into a dealer and have them reset the car on the diagnostic computer.

ksc, happened to me early on. SA said it would correct itself on the next top up. It did and has not happened since.

Gosh kscarrol,

I hope all is well with you and your home, *AND* car.
Hope the weather gets better quickly.
