Ticking sound on driver side Pillar B seatbelt
Take your ride back to the dealer and have them change the door seals. i had the same problem before, and am having it again 2 mths after the delaer changed a set of the seal.
The rattling noise doesn't really appear until you do some extensive driving or on bumpy roads.

...If i stick my finger in there the noise goes away.
Hey hey...i have it too but it's not doing all the time, and it doesn't bother me that much. I saw that if the seatbelt isn't on it doesn't do it.

I had it too.. I annoyed the heck out of me.. In the end I was able to reproduce it at the dealership.. They stripped the B-Piller and did "something". It has been gone since..

Do you guys hear ticking sound on Pillar B? What is going on
I believe it to be the inner workings of the seatbelt "pulley." There is a Service Bulletin on the issue for the 3 series, but I believe it to be the same issue in the E60. Cant find the TSB on-line now, but i have a print out of it at home.

I have the same ANNOYING NOISE...on my 530...took it to the dealer and they said nothings wrong....sucks...especially since it's right by your ear...GOODLUCK!!!!
Hey, it is coming from the seatbelt. When you push ( I don't know how you say that) that little black piece inside the seatbelt on pillar B, The sound would dissapear...
Try going back to the dealer and tell them that the sound comes from the seatbelt..

Same problem. I do not thinck is coming from the door seal. It looks to be originated by the black plastic part including the little roller to let the belt up and down. If you push on it: it stops. There is a little srew may try to lock it?

These rattling noises are so annoying..... there are multiple spots in my car that rattle. One main one is from the A pillar I am still not able to locate it nor could the dealer... Sux..
I also found rattling sounds that come from the turn signals and wipers while running on rough roads... Maybe You should check that.. Hope you will be able to find it..

I had the same problem about 6 months ago...it's a piece of inside of the seat belt mechanism hitting the plastic casing of the seatbelt. The dealer took it apart and added felt tape inside of the seatbelt...I haven?t had any problem since.
