How many people here have replaced their thrust arm or just replaced their bushings? If you have, which one did you use? Just got my car back from the dealership for a replacement radiator under warranty and was told that my bushings were cracked. My car has about 91,xxx miles.

I have done the job many times on different BMW. I used to replace the entire thrust arm (I suggest Lemforder or BMW OE) with bushing already installed. Recently, I purchased and modified a small bench top press and I now simply replace the thrust arm bushings with BMW OE (i.e. dealer) bushings. Without a press, replacing the bushing is not practicle.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking of doing, either replacing the whole arm with the lemforder or just replace the bushing with an OE.

Are you replacing the bushings on the lemfoerder arms to OE or installing them as is?
