Try turning of DSC/DTC. I think the system may be trying to prevent wheelspin. It does that on my 545i sometimes when i give it a goose.

I called my sales guy and, while I didn't expect much, he mentioned the DSC system has a "hill hold assist" that prevents the car from creeping on hills and level pavement. Sounds like it holds the brake for an extra 1.5 seconds. I tested his theory by waiting about a second or so after releasing the brake before pushing the accelerator and it seemed to be smoother - could also be completely psychological.

Can't comment on that (hill hold). My 2006 530i manual is a "March 2005 build" early US 2006, without the new DSC whirlygigs. Guess what? My throttle is instantaneous. Maybe the sales guy is right. That would be really kinda messed up though. Big trade-off for something you don't need as long as you know how to.... uh... drive.

My Ride: 07 BMW 525i Premium Package, Xenon Lighting Package, manual Transmission. Titanium Grey, 20% Tint around the back, 70% V-Kool on front.
Planned mods: Style 71 wheels with Toyo Proxy 4 tires, Sachs suspension upgrade, upgraded stereo, and many more to come.
You can disable the hill hold assist by turning off DSC (hold the DTC button 'til it's inactive).
I don't think that would be the cause tho, since I thought that only activates if it's on a ramp, and I don't recall disabling the DSC help the throttle response.
Let me try that and see...
Could also be that you don't have the charcoal filter, I think that definitely makes a difference.

Yea it's pretty annoying when pay that much for a car and everythings great then that ONE little thing which is a pretty big thing is whats wrong with it sadly enough.
Im not to keen on the idea of removing the charcoal filter or adding the Sprint booster. Im trying not to mess with this car like i do with my other ones. This was meant to be my relaxed car no problems not worry about it type thing. I have enough "fun" modifying my other cars lol.

I did pop the hood and the clips on the filter housing and saw a charcoal filter present. Are you saying I should take it out?
