Hope they don't test drive it too much!
They just called to say that they will replace all 4 tyres. Thanks to E60 forums....important information is passed along

You're lucky. BMW UK have never heard of a problem with Dunlop runflats on E60. Funny that, same car, same tyres, global brand, who conveniently deny there is a problem in the UK!.
The poor service received, especially with these expensive tyres which last less that half the distance of any tyres I have had in the last 25 years are the main reason I'm leaving the brand. Shame really, I have had 3 BMWs now but jumping ship to a brand who do not use runflats!. I'm sure they are better now than before, but this service has left a bad taste. If only they had accepted there was a problem & paid out I would have remained loyal to the brand which would have made them more in the long term.

THREE SETS, if its out of warranty or insurance period, then i would reccommend ditching the run flats, and when doing so, get some after market wheels put on.

Welcome E60 Beemer,
If the US dealer contiues to supply new (though defective) tires every year, why bother? I'm about to roll in for my next set.

BTW, I think your name means to be BIMMER; "Beemers" are the two-wheeled versions. (I have both).
Cheers,
Ray

Got the car back today...no more humming...for now (mine are not run flats)...also change the front rotor pads and brake disc.
The wear on the tyres were 3mm inner, 6mm center and 5mm outer....no wonder they were humming.

Are you talking about remaining tread depth here or the wear?
