third brake light

My Ride: 2005 530i Mystic Blue Metallic, Black Dakota Leather
i have good size insect thats dead inside the the third brake light area, its very annoying because it looks like a stain, anyone know how i can open the third brake light and remove the bug???

There was a post by Rudy some time back (a few months ago) that showed how to access/open the 3rd taillight --- let me see if I can find it and I'll let you know.

The cloth cover snaps off.
Then you will see a plastic black clip on each side that slide outward and detach. This action removes the brake light.
it can be tricky sliding the plastic clips back in to secure the housing. but it's doable.
