Thinking of taking my new E60 to a Track Day - am I mad?

Been there, done that!

OK, so I went to a track day with the BMWCCA White Mountain chapter. Actually I've been twice now.
So you go to a class to learn the track rules, and then you spend your track time with an instructor.
You drive as fast as your own limit. There is NO CONTACT during the track time.

It is safe, and FUN!!!!!!!!!!! And it's legal.

You are really missing something if you don't explore the limits of your car in a safe, contolled, setting.

if you want t give the car some abuse try the Nurburgring, does the car the world of good

Thanks for all the help everyone. I have bought a crash helmet and booked into the Bedford Autodrome track (no crash barriers - safe from writing of the car) on December 2nd
Will also be sharing a Caterham 7 superlight on the day
