I have a 535xi also. In the foothills of Appalachia in PA. Winters can be rough. And yes, I have stone chips in the paint. My volvo XC70, Acura MDX, Acura RSX, Jeep grand cherokee, BMW X3 and subaru Spec B also got stone chips.

You have a car.
You drive said car.
You get stone chips in the paint.

But the 535xi is much more fun. And with winter rubber ... no problems.

Drive your car. Enjoy it. All cars will get stone chips. In a few years, repaint it. You'll still be ahead and will have enjoyed it all the more.

Enjoy the ride.

Now that I have completed the mods on my car, I'm thinking of selling it or trading it for an X5. The car is perfect and I love it, but it's not well suited for the winter-time roads in Eastern Washington. You see, I'm somewhat of a perfectionist and really don't want to see all of the upgrades get trashed by the harsh winter. Last winter I drove my Camry and the front bumper got beat to hell with rock chips. I'm just under 19K miles on it and owe $45K. I've got just under 10k worth of mods installed.

Your thoughts? Anyone interested, or have an X5 with low miles that they want to trade?
Are you kidding me? My 535xi drives like a dream in the snow here in Colorado.

GL with the sale, though.
