They are similar, yes. If those adapters aren't plugged in completely, they will not work on one half of the ring.

You're right, we set a personal record 2 years ago with them for a customer when he had only his lunch break of 8 minutes for the whole install with 2 people.

then that guy needs to replace the rings already..


but seriously, what's the life span for these rings? how often would/do they need replacing?

I think the specs say 100,000 hours for the Orions. So essentially, if you were to leave them on continuously for 11 years and a half, then they'll need to be replaced.

so I guess the guy with the e46 must have had a bad install or something...highly doubt he's had those orion's on for 100K hours/11 yrs...lol...

Haha, yeah, I can't imagine these things going out, they're built pretty tough.
