how many thermostats do we have?how do you get the hoses off the thermostat housing ? are these special clips?is there a thermostat diy for this?i cant find it,i looked all over.i have e60 530i 6 cyl.....thanks

We have one thermostat and is easily accessible. The hoses have clips that you need a flat head screwdriver to slide up so you can slide off the hose. Then the thermostat is just held on by screws. Very easy DIY
