I need to do the following on my 04-E60:
1) Turn my DRL's off
2) Register AGM battery
3) Turn on CPT9000, the dealer replaced my idrive when it died over a year ago, and they didn't turn on my CPT9000, I have a BTUM, that I want to be able to use that plugs in directly into the CPT9000 to use the bluetooth features.
4) Install a CD Changer that I recently bought off a member.

Question to the wizards who have experience with the above,
1) Should I get a software scanner tool and do the above myself? I am more inclined to go this way since I have 2 E60's.

If yes, which one do you recommend, without breaking the bank?

Here is one - the professional version... http://www.bavariantechnic.com/buy.aspx

Thoughts and thanks in advance!

I have this tool and don?t see where you will be able to do any of the things you mention. It?s a diagnostic tool, not one that deactivates/activates things.

I have a (dumb, maybe) question about this. Could you use it to activate for example aux or ipod input on a non-aux input car? Or is that only dealer business?
