My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.

While my own car was getting updated to 19.2., my dealer gave my a 530dA for a testdrive.

I must tell that the +500Nm of torque is fenomenal.

The acceletarion from 60-70 km/h to about 130 km/h is simply great and no time is wasted.

The best was, that it has been snowing all day; I have been in slides, not many of you can imagine.

The DSC (etc.) works really great, the car is easy to handle; just more gas!!!!

what comes to modern diesel engines.

PS. You cannot hear a thing from the engine!!!

Unfu**ing believable

I know the feeling! The 530d is a execellent engine! And it works so nice with the steptronic gearbox

The power is so nice between 70 - 200 km/h

I wish we had them in the US. I'd like to try one. We leased a diesel in France one summer and really liked it.

Yes there is a trade off on the straight six noise. I remember listening to my old 528i whilst waiting for the engine to spool up. I do think the diesel engine makes a nice sound under full thrash though.
