I am taking delivery of a 550i step in South Florida on Tuesday or monday.

I would be more than happy to give you my dealers/CA info and see what he can do for you.
I shopped my deal pretty hard across S. Florida....contacting aout 6 dealerships and he gave me not only the best deal, but is easy to work with in putting everything together.

Just PM me for the info. I will be posting pics/initial impressions after a few days with car, most likely Sunday(7/15)

You can't compare CPO to new. The dealership will give you a lower interest rate if the car is a 2004 or say 3 years old. This is what attracts customers and allows the dealership to move the CPO inventory. On a new car it's a whole different ball game. I don't think there is any member in this group that has bought a new car and financed for 5 or 6 years and received a rate lower than 5%. Even that is kind of low. Remember I'm only speaking about a new car. If I'm wrong about this I stand corrected.

Thanks Rick...
I'm pretty sure what you're saying is right. I'm just saying, that other lenders out there are willing to go 4.9 on autoloans. Not that its a real big deal, but every buck saved is a buck towards mods

Medman, What dealer did you get yours from? Im working with South Motors right now (very close to my home) but I bought my M5 through Braman. I have also called Vista BMW in Pompano but have not talked numbers with even one dealer yet. Just test drives, etc..

Any help would be appreciated. Why didnt you wait for the Sport auto tranny??

Does anyone know of a link for detailed info on the new Sport auto transmission? Im sure I have done whats called "throttle blipping" in the past but what exactly is the definitio of Throttle Blipping? The sport auto tranny lets you do this.. so trying to get informed.

Based on all the info I have the sport auto is basically paddle shifters, ability to throttle blip and perhaps a tweak of throttle maps but the tranny is the same. I wanted the sport auto, but my car was already in production when I changed my mind. I will still be happy with the regular step, I have that in my 330Ci now with no problems.

Lauderdale Imports is the dealer....I have a specific contact if you are interested.

I leased my 330Ci from South but for some reason they did not want my repeat business despite the fact I was buying a 550i and X5

...but after driving both today, analyzing costs (Price, Gas, etc..)...I'm going with the 550i.
Much analysis needed?

hehe when you wanted the M5 as badly as I did...yes, there was plenty of mental debate and internal cursing among my devil/angel friends.

Medman, Im really suprised that South didnt want your repeat business. You mean they were not giving you a deal you wanted?

Can you PM me the salesperson...Ide like to contact them today. Thx!

I went through the same debate and ended up with the 550i as well. I felt my driving situation didn't warrant an M5. My pocketbook has thanked me several times.

It would of been fun though.

I ended up with a 2008 space grey 550i which I just love.

I'm offering the dealer this for the car.....
What do you guys think.. heh
Based on your specs in pdf file, you're adding 1095 for Contour Seats which come standard as part of Sport Package... Minus that and you're in fair shape.
