Default Temp lines on RPM Gauge don't move 2010 535xi

I have a 2010 535xi and I recently noticed that the dash marks that normally go up as the engine heats up are stuck at the max (only 3 lines visible, not sure if they have an actual name). I'm not sure how long it has been like this; I've never really paid attention. Does anyone have any idea why this would be happening?

Everything runs and works fine with it, just happened to notice it was always like that recently. It's -11 out today and pretty sure that isn't warm enough to have it at running temp when I start it in the morning.

Oh really? Guess I didn't know that. I traded a 2007 530i in for a 2010 and never looked at the new one. That's fine if they're not just wanted to make sure nothing was wrong with it. Thanks.
