I just spoke to my dealer and customer service from BMW Canada and they told me that the TCU does not allow any camera retrofitted on my fully loaded 535xi. I requested to have nightvision installed on it and I was told it is not feasible.
Any opinion? Anyone had nightvision retrofitted on their vehicle? The option is available on www.bmw.com

TIA

My dealer told me it is possible to retrofit it and even told me the cost.
I forgot how much it was, but it is possible on my May 2004 545.

Thanks for the reply Iceman. They claim it is not possible in the Canadian version of the car, but possible in the European and US! That seems to be strange...
BTW my 535xi is a 2009 model

Can't see anything about the TCU and Nightvision here:

Don't think that the TCU have anything with the Nightvision. When is your care produced? and what option do you have?

Canadian Dealers (specially from Calgary) are a joke that is why I never bought from them. I bought my car in the States in which is 100000 times better. where are you located?

Nope! Canadian version is almost exactly same as European version. The only diference is the DRL is a must to turn on all the time.
