yea, technically you need like 20pts to earn the badge....that usually constitutes software, suspension, air intake and exhaust before u fully qualify

luckily before i put mine badge on (then subsequently took it off) i had throttle body, high flow air intake and the stage 3 software and i still think i was short on points lol

It is only 10 points to get the Dinan badge. I thought about getting that badge many times, but then I remember I could do a complete LCI conversion for the price of 2 things. You can get the Dinan intake, throttle body and all three software upgrades and have enough points for the badge. So you could go the Dinan route and have more legitamacy.

i agree that in no way form or fashion should anyone put an ///M badge on a non-///M car....no matter how many ///M parts you put on that damn thing. unless you upgrade the motor by dropping in an S85 V10, adjust & upgrade the full drivetrain, suspension and brakes....it will never be an ///M

where i disagree though: you should def put ///M parts on ur non-///M car if you so please. on my 545i, i had a ton of parts on that damn thing. some of them were from M5s and really made my car look awesome. so i think if your heart and budget allow....go all out and do it really big....just dont put a damn ///5 on that thing and become a full-on poser. feel me?

Would it look tacky to place an ///M badge on the left side on the trunk or directly left of the 550i badge on a 550i sport? I know it's not an M5 and I know it's not a real M, but there are M "influenced" parts on the 550i sports. Just wondering, something to differentiate the car from other E60's beside the wheels and body kit.

Leave standard. Those who really appreciate your car will probably know what it is anyway; if you stick that on the back you'll look like a proper lemon. Saying that though, my BMW is f#cking shit so if you let me have yours with that badge on the back, I'll be happy to take and drive around with a big smile on my face.
