SZL Steering Wheel Sensor/Alignment
Not sure how I did it before but there is a way to unlock the steering wheel so I can adjust it and ensure it is straight when my wheels are straight....
New laptop so I had to reload all my tools (INPA, ISTA/P, etc)
When I go into INPA I see E60->Satellite Steering Column->Status->Steering Angle Sensor->Analog
as you can see.... WAAAAY off
So I want to adjust this while my wheels are straight....
I go back and then Activate... and where I thought I would see "Steering angle calibration" I see nothing of the sort:
I'm lost here now....
Figured I'd post that before asked...
ANY and all help to get this situated would be awesome!

Your car must be running for you to calibrate the SZL then go to developer mode on the SZL in INPA to align it once you know you're centered

There is no "developer mode" in the BimmerGeeks INPA, just what you see. With the car on or off there are the same options, NOTHING to do with adjusting and resetting the steering wheel in "activate".
Is there a different version of INPA I should be looking for? Or can you elaborate on this a bit more?

There is but I gave you the instructions for the wrong vehicle. I work on too many cars. For the E60 you calibrate through DSC. Once you're in DSC you calibrate the sensor

Okay.... When attempting at access DSC I get this error:
I just remember the first time (I thought it was in ISTA) it walked me through steps.... ensure wheels are straight, next.... make sure wheel is straight and at that point I could literally spin the wheel freely to align it, then I pressed continue and it locked.... =(
Now when I'm in the it does those steps but never frees up the wheel (and I tried it with the engine on too)

Are you using ISTA+ or ISTA D. Are you saying you installed a new SZL when asked? If you're going to use to be DIYing your car you should be using the suite ISTA P/D.
Your INPA script is looking for the wrong DSC module. Your .prg is wrong or you've updated something that didn't take all the way. Was your DSC replaced or updated at some point. Either way you can default code it if you want to get it back to what it needs to be. But as of now your INPA will not bring up premium functions because it's looking to the wrong module. Also in INPA to get your true set values you need to be in DSC not SZL. You're looking at the wrong graph to show how centered you are. It should show you a green line with a triangle in middle. Once you feel you're center the number shown will let you know how off you are. I'm not understanding also how or why it's needed. The only time it should be needed if you swapped out the SZL: airbag deployment, an alignment was done incorrectly or a bad front end wreck other than that your steering wheel should be straight minus an alignment that's needed.

I see what the issue is now knowing what type model car you have. You have an Xdrive and it's looking for a DSC and should be DXC. Did you choose DXC when in INPA. I believe that's what it is.
