So in my old E60, I used to be able to switch between ALL entertainment sources. On the new car, when it comes to the radio, it wont show me FM and then AM. It will only show me whichever one of the two was used last. All other sources show up properly. To clarify, if I use the steering wheel button to toggle thru different entertainment sources, it will skip one of the radio bands. It wont show me both. Only the one I had used last. I hope I am explaining myself properly.

Any insight?

Thx

No idea, but I would like to disable the AM in my stereo, because we don't have any transmission on there.
Sorry for riding your thread poleposition, but if there's a way to do this, I would appreciate.

I think there was a CIP that changed it to the way you have it now.

Interesting. So are you saying they did this by design? And if so, why?

I noticed the same when I swapped into this car from my previous (11/05 330d Touring).

If it is a designed in feature, its not a good one imo

It may be caused by the lack of any quality AM stations. My recommendation, which should fix ALL of your problems, is move to drop your car and move to LA. Keep me posted.

I think you should forget any entertainment distractions and concentrate on your DRIVING (sorry K, couldn't resist)

Jeff, you're obviously affected by the fumes from the plastic trucknutz you wear around your neck. You should take them off every once in a while.

I really don't appreciate your crass sarcasm. For your information, I wear the chrome ones around my neck. The plastic ones are on the 550 as not to offset perfect 50/50 weight distribution
