I have RDS on my radio.
And the last line on the version page reads:
1 30 50 500 vom 08.12.2004
So what version is that?

Have you tested the MP3 disk on another player that can play MP3 ?
Maybe you are writing it incorrectly

I just found a very intersting thing in my iDrive. I got in to the SW version page in the iDrive and it said the car was built on 12/16/2004. Is it the actual built day of the car? What interesting about is I have a 530xi and as I'm aware this model is not introduced until the 2005, then how can my car be built in December 2004? Also when I purchased the car from the dealer in August they said the car was JUST built and was on the ship coming to Canada (and it arrived at the end of August according to the dealer). Can anyone identified this problem?
And according to Iceman, I should be able to play MP3 on my car but after I've placed a MP3 CD into the slot the CD label on the iDrive keep in a dull color and looks like it couldn't recognize a disc with MP3 file. Am I doing something wrong or is it same with all other E60 owners?

or
If u do not trust your dealer call another dealer and give them the VIN #. They can tell you production date.
or
Can u use BMWNA? If so u can call and give them your VIN # they can tell u production date and options (although not CIP version number)
or
Or put last 7 digits of vin in here:

If I have RDS, does it means I have Pro Radio and therefore can play MP3? I've tried 3 different MP3 discs already but still doesn't work. Does it means a newer sw version (available in Dec) will allow me to play MP3?
And by the way, do you guys have CD text now? I've read some post saying if they have RDS, then they have CD text and some not. Mine will not give me CD text.
