Hey everyone, I have a problem with my 2007 550i with sports suspension and 20" wheels. Yesterday I noticed my car was leaning quite a bit when I parked it after going to lunch. I've always thought my car leaned a little to the right, but this is really bad. I read all the topics about others who have noticed their cars leaning to the right. Now the lean is bad, because the right front wheel is tucked up in the fender likes its lowered. Now there is a larger gap on the left front because of the lean. I drove the car to the tire shop just to see if there was anything broken. When I got to the shop it was back to normal. I still had it checked out and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. They measured the height all around and said the right side, front and back, is 1/4" lower than the left. I drove it home and parked it in the drive way and still looked normal. I went out to check it out a few hours later and the right tire is tucked up in the fender again. Woke up this morning still tucked up in there. Drove to work and when I got out it was back to normal. I drove home and parked it in the garage and this time it's tucked in the fender when I parked it in the drive way.
Does this sound like a major problem? I am planning on putting coilovers on it. I am moving across the country and was going to wait until after the move. I will swap out to coilovers now if that will fix it. Here are some pics I took with my blackberry. Thanks for the help.

have someone sit in the driver's seat, and then check the gap.
It doesn't really make sense that the right side settles when the car is parked for a while.....its just a simple spring up front.

Just out of curiosity will the car level out after the engine is started?
The reason I say this is because I'm wondering if your active steering (if you have it) is trying to compensate for a bad spring, by leveling the car while driving but after it sits the fluid drains back showing the bad spring again.

Today before I left for work everything looked normal. There wasn't a noticeable difference in the gap of the front wheels. I went to lunch with 3 guys from work. I drove my car and as soon as I started driving we could hear the right side wheels rubbbing. It was rubbing constantly, not just over bumps. I got out and looked at the car and it was leaning bad on the right side again. Everyone got out and it raised back up to normal. I'm not sure what the problem is. I will be scheduling an appointment with BMW to see if it's something more extensive than the springs. Hopefully it is something that can be fixed with coilovers.

Major?? Dunno about major, but it's going to affect handling and tire wear. Do you have active roll on the car? If you do, that could be screwed up. If not, I think you have a shock that's hosed.
