Suspension maybe?
#1
My 2004 530i (sport suspension) is wearing badly all 4 tires on the inside (front slightly more).
I took the car to an aligment place and they told me all is within spec (toe, cam, etc), they suggested the Shocks could be bad (60K miles on them) and they could be the could the cause for the uneven wear. They also mentioned a little bit of play in the lower arms, but they also told me they have seen worst and the wear is even.
Does any one here has experienced a similar situation? Thanks.

Your alignment place is correct. BMW spec is -2.0 degrees, this will cause the tires to wear badly on the inside edge. I didn't think there was anything I could do about it either. I went through 6 sets of rear tires in 2 years. Then I had a wheel alignment and asked the guy to dial OUT as much negative camber as possible, I didn't care of it wasn't within spec. He got it down to -0.8 degrees and I can honestly say: It's one of the best move I have ever done. My rear tires have an even wear pattern and have lasted over a year now.

Welcome to the wonderful world of negative-2 camber! That's why almost all BMWs, from the 70s-on, handle so well, in part- But you pay for it with tires...

normal. how many miles on your car because an 04 with 60K miles on suspension would make me believe the struts were replaced? I'm nearing 129K on the clock w sport suspension and I'm good still

It's only rear -2 but front should around -0.5. I have same thing, and there is no fix for sport suspension. This wear is only on sport suspension. The strut may help, but will not fix a problem.
