suspension choices

My Ride: Retired 2008 535i Titanium-silver with sport, premium, steptronic, NAV, HUD
Retired 2006 525i
In some cars like Acura and MB (these are the only ones I know about) you can change the suspension setting. Is this as good as flipping between a sport and a non-sport e60.
Why can't BMW offer this.

EDC - electronic damper control, has long been a feature of many BMW's. Even the previous 5 and 7 Series had this as an option.
It allows you to set the damping response of the suspension, to be biased either towards comfort, or sporty performance. This should Not be confused with the Dynamic Drive option in the E60 that controls sideways roll of the vehicle.
I really don't understand why they didn't make EDC available on the standard E60?
