I read in BMW Car Mag that the 535d borrows some suspension components from the M5...
do you know which components in particular these are ... and whether any other e60 borrows them too (am thinking 545/550..)?

Here is some info for you from the web
Notice they only mention sport models and not standard.
This is from TestDriven UK!
Visually similar to the recently unveiled high-performance M5 saloon, Sport models feature a number of interior and exterior enhancements over the existing 5 Series SE variants, as well as handling improvements courtesy of M Sports suspension.
The M Sports suspension features recalibrated dampers and stiffer springs and lowers the car by 15mm. The new 5 Series Sport models have a similar suspension set up to the forthcoming high-performance M5, and share links and bushes.

Regardless of sharing suspension components with the M5 IMHO the M sport still rolls a bit too much.
