I read my very first manual very carefully--- that was when I got my first E49...then I did not read anything about my next car the E39. Then when I got my first E60 I read some.....then on current E60 i browsed the manual again.
I skipped some part..anything relating to NAV and Voice commands. But guess what? i just got a surprise yesterday. I was playing with my steering buttoms and suprisely i found out that i have some basic voice commands avaiable.
...the activation of bluetooth also gives us the capability to use ome voice commands...... (few members here clarified that to me...too many to mention them..but thanks to all)

Sure does!
After the reading this thread, I went and located the 12v outlet on the passenger side!! I didn't know it was there... then I downloaded the pdf manuals including the M5's... omg, I want a M5! 507bhp, 200mips computer with 4 doors!

I have to say my biggest surprise was when I needed a flashlight and had to use the interior lights. I opened the glove box and happened to come across a built-in BMW flashlight charged and ready to go. Finding that little subtle item really got to me. Just one of the many surprises I have had owning this vehicle.

Not sure how useful it will be but I thought it was cool that you can call any of the points of interest in the NAV database by selecting the Call option. Might come in handy some time.

How about stuff that isn't in the manual but should be like:
holding the rear part of your key for 1.5 seconds to get the trunk to open.
