How about stuff that isn't in the manual but should be like:
holding the rear part of your key for 1.5 seconds to get the trunk to open.

Another one I learnt here though it is documented in the manual.

Pressing the unlock button of your key for more than few seconds will roll down all the windows. I dont think there is any for US users to rollup the window.
YES I did not know this!

I read this forum for the comaraderie, but I learn something new everyday!

I think that's in my manual, but can't remember for sure. But, yes, there is lots that is not in the manual--like how to find the battery.

Same thing happen to me on my e60. I don't have this kind of experience on any other cars. I just found out I have net on the passenger side (I still need to go check).

When I use the cruise control last week, I found out if I push or pull all the way it will increase/decrease by 5 miles increment.
5 miles increments? Have you try not holding it but just a tab, mine will go 1 km increment up or down.

Also after your seat is in position by pressing your memory button, if you press it again the left and right mirror will go up on the left and down on the right. Is this a bug? or it is something useful but I am sure is the first one.

It is located here. It has the 2004/5/6 owners manual.

For what it's worth, that manual is not updated for the 550 e.g. comfort access etc. But since the 550 and 545 are very close, the manual is probably 95% helpful.

The manual can be downloaded in pdf format on the BMWUSA website under owners circle. The last time I checked the 2006 manaul was not available, but he 2005 was.

Pushing or pulling the cruise all the way takes it to the next 5 mph increment, it won't increase or decreas by 5 mph. In other words, if you're cruise is set at 67mph, pushing it will take it to 70, an increase of only 3 mph.

As far as the memory seat/mirror "feature," I don't think my car does that at all. Maybe it's a bug on newer software versions? Anyone else's car have this issue?
