I just had my sunroof seal replaced because of wind noise when closed and found out that BMW just came out with a new seal. My SA called and told me he had the old parts in inventory but could have the new one overnight and suggested I put the new one in.

Just wanted to let anyone who was going to have their seal replaced under warranty that they should ask for the new part. I doubt that most SA's would let people know as they would want to get rid of the old parts in inventory.

Please make sure to post SIB # or additional info and let us know if it took care of the noise. I mentioned before, they did something different in my car, but I still feel a little noise that should not be there...

Just got the car back late yesterday but the wind noise is dramatically reduced. They hadn't closed out my paperwork when I picked up the car so my SA is going to send it to me electronically. When I get it I'll post the part number and any other information I can find.

Hmmm I'd be interested to find out the new part number the last time I had my seal changed the noise came back.
