My 2005 545i works exactly the same way, if I need to close it, I have to turn the key back to the starting position to move the sunroof, though even with the key out of the ignition, the windows will close BEFORE the doors have been opened!
Yup, thats my deal also. I wont sweat it then. Kinda funny, I just sold my completey redone E34 on ebay and maybe that car I could shut the sunroof after the ignition was off and thought the E60 did but never did. Oh well its three times the car regardless. Thanks yall,,,drive happy

MY 05 the sunroof would not close after key was out of the ignition. The windows would.
My 07 the sunroof and windows will close with key out before door is opened. (pre LCI)

those without comfort access can stick their key in the driver's door and turn it to lock and hold it. Windows will close and then sunroof.
YOu can open windows and sunroof by holding unlock on the key. If you have a fob you can hold the unlock button and do the same

ONly way to do it in USA is to stick your key in the door and turn and hold in lock position. This will close everything.

Hmm... My 2007 (pre LCI) will not close the sunroof when the car is off unless I use the key (haven't tried CA). This is really irritating since my E39 would allow the sunroof to close until the door was open.
