While quite snowy and seemingly cold, you appear to live in a beautiful part of the world. Thank you for sharing it with us.
BTW: How did you get your car on/off the ice? Was there enough snow for traction? I suppose if you go real slow....but what if your wheels started slipping and you got stuck out there!?!?!?

There's an ice road on the lake. It's not sanded or anything, there's just some snow on the ice and where there's no snow, the ice surface has become rough during winter so it's not a problem at all. And even if it was pure slick ice, it wouldn't be a big problem as I have studded tires. Climbing up slippery hills and starting off on the icy surface are the basic things that are taught in a driving schools around here. For obvious reasons...
