Subtle thump at low speeds - front left suspension
Dear Experts
2016 E60 N54 with 100K on it, recently developed thumping sound (think tennis ball in a plastic kitchenware box) that you can hear even going over small bumps (but NOT on a perfectly flat road, accelerating/braking etc)
What part of the front suspension would be suspect, and how do I check?
Thanks!

First thing I would check is the tension strut bushing or ball joint. You can grab the arm and see if you can wiggle it back and forth, it should be tight. Also the upper shock mounts (though those aren't as easy to check).
