Hello all

I have a 2004 525i with sport suspention and DTC. I am thinking of changing my sachs (original) shocks....any advise, and what are my Economic friendly options ? Thanks

Go with Bilstein Sports- I have them with Eibach ProKit coils, and love the ride- actually similar to sport, but they firm up quicker in turns. If you keep your stock springs, you can get a set of 4 Bilsteins for around $600 shipped free, no tax from BavAuto- I was pretty happy with the service, and they shipped 'em immediately.

You don't mention your mileage, but for a 2004, if you have all original suspension I would suggest changing your springs in addition to your struts. Your ride will definitely benefit from new springs if you're at 75k miles or above.

I am now gearing up for new shocks. My 2004 252i has 143k on original suspention. Any suggestions on shock brands ? Anything new out there I should know about ? and while I am doing the Shocks what else should I change while the car is open ? this is to optimize the labor cost and job quality ..
