Default Stripped Guide Pin

Hey everyone,

I was changing my brakes today and one of the caliper guide pins was stripped! Ruined my whole day...

I ordered a new pin as well as bolt extraction set but I was wondering if anyone here has any other methods or tips?

Here's a picture or the sucker:

Thanks for any help!

Use the next size up from the right size. Beat it in and turn it, it should come out.

What tool did you use? Do not use allen wrenches on them. Only use torx bits. If you don't have a set get one it will save you from a headache in the long run

Used torx and it was stripped by the last person who handled it.

Sounds like a good suggestion though!

Yea I have a good set then a set I use for instances like the one you have. It's best to put an extension on the bit then beat it in.

There's many ways remove it including drilling the bolt head off.
