strange warning sigal

I sometomes get an orange warning light of 'arrows each side of a car' when I open the door any ideas anyone

Do you have steptronic gearbox?

I get that message to, when the gear selector is in "N", and I open the door(s).

It's just a reminder, so you won't forget to select "P" before leaving the car!

I get that everyday... cuz I shut down the car in neutral... LOL it means your car might roll cuz you didnt park it in gear.

No I dont think so... since the transmission shifts into neutral when you open the door when in gear its warning you to be aware that the car will roll.

I'll go take a pic of what I think is being described and post it tomorrow... if I remember...

Actually ok here you go this one right? If so then yes its just warning you that your car is in neutral and theres a potential that it'll roll away.

sure, ur right !!! ebmc, the dynamic drive is a car icon (but kinda goind away from you) that has two arrows pointing at the car... and it flashes in red...

was very scary to see it on the 745li

Does it? I don't think so. I was on the parking lot the other day and my tranny was in D, then I rememberred something, opened the door and almost stepped out of hte car when i felt it go forward , so I jumped into the car, and moved the shifter in P.
It did not shift into neutral.
