My Ride: 2005 525i (plain and simple)

05 525i

Noticable humming sound at 40 - 70 mph..... similar to driving with studded snow tires! Tires are new....anyone have similar experience?

The only humming at 70 mph is the sound of driver delight

! I have Bridgestone RFTs and the sport package.

What new tires brand/model have you installed? Some tires produce their own "unique" tire tread noise depending on road surface. For example, I've had very quiet tires on asphalt sound like I'm driving on gravel when I'm on a concrete road.

I put new Conti's on...I still have the smile at 70 but the noise is kinda bizzare....as loud as studded snows....
