as everything was normal suddenly the car stopped revving past 2,500 rpms. it's like something is not allowing it.

any ideas? like an emergency mode or something?
im not getting any error messages

Check all air hose connections in the engine compartment. Especially from the turbo. Just a thought...

Hmmm... Swirl flaps in the intake manifold should open in 2000rpm to give more air. Maybe you could check that they still work. I don't know... It shouldn't affect revving...

anyway i took it to this bmw garage and they put it on the computer. the computer gave out three error codes all similar

something like "air-control pressure"

anyway the guy was like it's either the turbo or the actuator.
(oh btw on my way there the problem stopped and it started again.)
im like "how can it be the turbo when at some points it's working fine?"
and he's like "it could be both. we have to see"

is that correct?
from common sense it looks like it's just the actuator

someone please shed some light
