So while I'm working with one dealer on a possible deal, I went to a local dealer to test drive another 550 with sport paddles. While playing around with them, it seemed like the right upshift paddle that is behind the wheel was slightly farther away than the one on the left, and no my fingers aren't shorter on one hand :-)
I couldn't really think of a reason for this to be normal, can anyone comment on this? Is this normal, or were these paddles broken? They seemed to work fine.

I dont have them but the only thing I could think of is maybe the paddle was bent at the base (where it connects to the steering column?)causing it to be farther away.
Its obviously not broken though if it worked. Or maybe they can ne adjusted?

The paddles are exactly the same distance from the wheel on both sides. If the distance is different on the car you are testing, then it needs to be looked at. As suggested, one may be bent (not sure how likely this would be given the size/shape of the lever) or just not connected to the wheel assembly correctly. The levers (L/R) can each be ordered separately if one is damaged.
Good luck with your purchase!
