Strange Hum from left rear wheel well
I parked my car in the garage after drive home and about 40 minutes later went to get something from the garage and noticed a strange hum in the rear left wheel well. Upon closer inspection, the hum turned out to be some sort of fan going non stop under trim in the trunk. Tried to reset the cars' idrive, no effect. It has been over an hour now, and the hum won't stop, that fan just keeps spinning. What could that be?

Did you ever figure out what the humming noise was? Over the past few days I've heard the same thing. It usually happens after my car has been sitting out in the sun for for a while.
I guess I'll take it into the stealership and see what they say.

It's the audio amp. It's located on the left side of the trunk. It runs two fans to cool off...

Shouldn't those fans run almost silent? I'll have the AC on along with the radio and still be able to hear the humming from the back corner.
Pleanty of duct tape and WD-40 should do the trick, right?!
